Complicated formula help for a budget spreedsheet
Hello everyone, Normally I can find what I'm looking for and apply it to my project, but this one is a bit complicated, if it can even be done. I'll try to explain it as best as I can. I've got a calendar type layout on one tab(Forcast Template), with bills listed on anoter tab(All Bills). What I'd like to get it to do, is automatically fill in each bill for the corresponding day. The complications are as follows: some days have multiple bills due, and some bills only apply to certain months. I'm familiar with if/then functions as well as xlookup, but combining the two for this application is proving to be a tad more complicated. Again, that's if it can be done. Not sure how to attach the file for viewing, but I'll post screenshots so hopefully you can tell what I'm trying to do. Let me know if I need to clarify anything. Thanks!13Views0likes0CommentsCapture Edited Form Submission
Hello. I have created a Power automate to capture the response when a form is submitted. We allow the users to edit the from after submission, sometimes they don't have all the info at first submission. Does anyone know how to capture the resubmission of the form after the user edits it. The Excel sheet that the form is linked to does get updated with the resubmission but I cannot use this to trigger an alert for the edit. I am trying to avoid linking the form to Sharepoint list just to capture the change. Ideally I would like to trigger a workflow directly from the resubmission of the form. Network connectivity page in M365 admin center is the go-to place for tenant, network security administrators to review health and readiness of customer network connectivity setup essential for M365 applications. Problem statement Customers blocking WebSocket connections in their network infrastructure leads to broken experience for M365 Copilot users. Copilot uses WebSocket and tenant admins have no visibility into the failed WebSocket connections for their users, rendering the customer network setup not ready for Copilot roll out. Users with WebSocket connection failure will have a broken Copilot experience, here is a glimpse. We are pleased to announce the following new features in M365 admin center that are available to all customers. Admins can now view Service health notifications in Microsoft 365 admin center for Network insights detected for their tenant. They may also receive an email if opted-in to receive email notifications. The service health notification has a deep link that takes them directly to the detected network insight for their tenant, they will receive one notification per insight detected. Detected network insights include failed network connections for M365 Copilot, this public article documents the three network insights we detect Microsoft 365 Network Insights - Microsoft 365 Enterprise | Microsoft Learn Failed HTTPS connections for Unified domains *.cloud.microsoft, *.static.microsoft, *.usercontent.microsoft Failed WebSocket connections for *.cloud.microsoft Network Intermediation (TLS break and inspect) impacting performance I received a Service health notification for WebSocket or HTTPS connection failures, what should I do? Within the Service health notification there is a hyperlink that directly takes you to the Insights page in Network Connectivity. You can also go to the Insights page and click on the network insight, this shows the locations for which the insight has been detected, click on any location to review the location specific details and summary, the location summary provides you information like egress IP addresses (your source IPs from where we see connection failures) for this location. More information available in this video. 1. Visibility into failed network connections for M365 Copilot Tenant admins can now see in Microsoft 365 admin center (Microsoft 365 network connectivity - Microsoft 365 admin center) when their network impacts user connections to M365 apps, including WebSocket connections for M365 Copilot. The new report shows failure rate percentage, also known as the error rate percentage, for failed HTTPS and WebSocket connections to customer facing M365 Unified domains such as *.cloud.microsoft, *.static.microsoft, and *.usercontent.microsoft. A high error rate in this report indicates blocked network connections that impacts connectivity for various M365 applications and calls for immediate action from the tenant admin to allow blocked connections. 2. Visibility into user network latency for M365 Copilot Tenant admins can now view the network assessment points for Microsoft 365 Copilot, the assessment points are based on the network latency experienced by Copilot users. The lower the network latency, the higher the network assessment points for Microsoft 365 Copilot, providing a clear picture for tenant admins about the high network latency experienced by their users for M365 Copilot. In addition to the above, we recently announced M365 network connectivity test tool for individual users to test and validate if they successfully meet the network connectivity requirements for M365 Copilot. I’m writing to escalate a critical issue that has not been resolved despite my multiple attempts through support channels. Issue Summary: I lost access to my old mobile device, which contained my Microsoft Authenticator app. I’ve installed the app on my new phone but am still being blocked at login due to MFA. I think something needs to be done to resolve this because all the attempts to recover accounts requires Authenticator app? Its driving me nuts! Password reset attempts always redirect to the MFA prompt again. I’ve uploaded my National ID as requested by your team (see attached screenshot). However, I’ve now received a deletion warning due to an unpaid invoice of around $6, which I cannot settle because I’m locked out of the account. Account + data deleted due to six bucks? What I need: A temporary override or alternate method to bypass MFA and log in OR A direct external payment link (outside login) to settle the invoice and stop account termination. Please assist urgently. The current support loop is broken: My business and data are tied to this account, and deletion over a small invoice while I’m locked out is unreasonable. Appreciate your urgent help to prevent further escalation. Kind regards, Shake (Emcee Shake)3Views0likes0CommentsAutomating Vacation Requests with Azure Logic Apps and SharePoint
In today’s fast-paced business environment, automation plays a vital role in improving operational efficiency. One of the most common yet time-consuming HR processes is managing employee vacation requests. Fortunately, Azure Logic Apps offers a low-code/no-code solution to automate this workflow efficiently and with minimal setup. In this blog post, I’ll walk you through how to use Azure Logic Apps to build an automated vacation request workflow, integrating with services like Outlook, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams. https://dellenny.com/automating-vacation-requests-with-azure-logic-apps-and-sharepoint/19Views0likes0CommentsHow to Permanently Remove Mailbox Items with the Graph API
Some new Graph APIs were announced on April 1 to close a feature gap with EWS. The new APIs permanently remove mailbox items and other objects, including folders, calendars, and calendar items. Permanent deletion means that items cannot be recovered through clients because they end up in the Purges folder in Recoverable Items. This article explains how the new APIs work, including a practical example. https://office365itpros.com/2025/05/07/permanent-deletion-mailbox-item/42Views0likes0CommentsThis form can't be distributed as it is asking for personal or sensitive information
Two issues, one with what the system flagged, and the second with how the system is not designed to help you correct the error. First Issue: It took me an hour of clicking in form fields and making minor text changes to get the system to momentarily clear the error and allow me to make a copy of the form for rough cut deletion of the offending section. That was a pain and part of what I will get into in part 2. When I finally had a copy I could work with, I deleted sections until I got to the question “EA Passes” with the subtext “how many Early Access Passes does your crew need”. This was the offending question. EA Passes. I changed it to EA Games, EA Medical, EA Social Security… these were all fine. But “EA Passes”. Flagged. This is not sensitive info, you may wish to have your system let that one go. Second Issue: and this is user satisfaction related. The system flags and makes the entire form unusable rather than flagging the individual question or phrase. Having a helpful popup showing what is flagged and making the form usable without this question would be wonderful! Especially considering the fact that the term flagged was not clear or even remotely sensitive in nature. Thank you for considering 1. The flagging of “EA Passes”, I changed this to Early Access Passes to get past it, and 2. Some help fixing/flagging the issue/phrase rather than dynamiting the form and forcing you to delete most if not all of your work to try to find the issue.13Views0likes0CommentsPractical Graph: Use App Management Policies to Control App Credentials
App secrets are used to authenticate registered apps with Entra ID. App secrets (or passwords) are convenient and easy to use, but they're relatively insecure. The default app management policy for the tenant can block app secrets while custom app management policies can allow selective apps to use app secrets for testing or other well-defined purposes. All explained here. https://practical365.com/app-management-policy-control-app-secrets/24Views0likes0CommentsMicrosoft Extends DLP Policy for Copilot to Office Apps
First introduced in March 2025 to block access to sensitive documents by BizChat, Microsoft has extended the DLP policy for Copilot to cover the web and desktop versions of the Office apps (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). The implementation works but could confuse users. It might be better if Microsoft simply removes all trace of Copilot when working with files subject to the DLP policy. https://office365itpros.com/2025/05/05/dlp-policy-for-copilot2/32Views0likes0CommentsThe New Access Features in 2025
Hi, Yesterday, I posted two videos on my YouTube channel. They are a short version of the presentation given by the Microsoft Access team at my recent Access DevCon conference. They show a lot of new features they are working on and that are planned for the rest of the year: Breaking Access News - Signing/Monaco/SCC/Charts Breaking Access News - Zooming and Extending Form/Report Size Limits Here is my article with some more explanation: https://www.accessforever.org/post/the-new-access-features-in-2025 Servus Karl **************** Access Forever News DevCon Access-Entwickler-Konferenz AEK98Views2likes0CommentsUse Audit Data to Improve Finding Inactive Copilot Users
A previous article explained how Microsoft 365 usage report data can highlight inactive Copilot users. If we add audit data to the mix, the analysis becomes much richer because we can see exactly what use people make of different Copilot apps, like Word, Chat, Outlook, and so on. Better data means better decisions! https://practical365.com/inactive-copilot-users/31Views0likes0CommentsMS Forms Quick Import Likert Questions
Hi folks, i'm trying to ceate some surveys and will be using the likerts. I have a list of statements, which I would like to be able to import or copy and paste into the form, rather than typing again. However, it seems I can only copy one statement at a time (unlike "option" questions). I have had a look at importing from Word, but this seems to work poorly with likerts. Has anyone got a work around or solution for this? Thanks.28Views0likes0CommentsCopilot’s Solution to Fix Grammar and Spellings
Microsoft 365 Copilot will soon introduce a feature to fix spelling and grammar errors with one click. At least, that’s the promise when Microsoft delivers the new feature in late April 2025. It seems like a good idea to do everything with a single pass to generate error-free text that the user can accept or reject. Quite how well this works in practice remains to be seen. https://office365itpros.com/2025/04/25/fix-grammar-and-spelling-errors/41Views0likes0CommentsNew Landing Pages for Word, Excel and PowerPoint (rant)
So I found out this week that MS is piloting new landing pages for the core Office apps (again). Instead of loading in the M365 Home page, they now load in an entirely new page. Why was this necessary? We've already been here before and MS spent years moving everything to the Home app. The dust has finally settled and things are working great. Why move things out again?22Views0likes0CommentsReplacing Litigation Holds with an eDiscovery Case
Litigation holds were great when introduced with Exchange 2010. Fifteen years on, better methods exist to preserve user information, like eDiscovery holds. It might seem unnatural to move from litigation holds to eDiscovery cases, but this approach allows the preservation of both mailbox and OneDrive content for as long as necessary. Retention policies can serve the same purpose, so choice exists for modern preservation. https://office365itpros.com/2025/04/24/litigation-hold-ediscovery/37Views0likes0CommentsAn Account Blocked by MACE Credential Revocation is A Good Way to Start a Saturday Morning
The last thing you want on a Saturday morning is to find that Entra ID has blocked your account because of leaked credentials. Even though the account is protected by MFA, it’s still important to remediate the event by changing its password. A check against some beta sign-in metrics shows that no one has tried to use the leaked credentials, so that’s good. https://office365itpros.com/2025/04/21/leaked-credentials-sign-in-metrics/2.2KViews3likes0CommentsHow to Report the Sponsors for Entra ID Guest Accounts
Entra ID populates the sponsor property for new guest accounts with details of the person who invites the guest to the tenant. It’s data that can be used for different purposes, such as having someone to justify the continued presence of a guest account in a Microsoft 365 tenant.
