Build Quality?
I have the original Surface Book. After about 2 years the screen started separating from the lid due to battery expansion and Microsoft replaced the unit even though it was out of warranty which was great. Now at nearly 7 years the screen has completely separated again and I am searching for a replacement but I'm unsure whether to trust another Surface. What does anyone else think about build quality compared to other brands. Should I consider a Surface Laptop?

all batteries expand eventually and pops up keyboard or screen, and 7 years is a loooong run. And screen separating isn't a big deal, simply replace the battery and glue the screen back in.
