Microsoft 365 & Windows 365 Outage - 2 Weeks
Our company's Microsoft 365 (including email) and Windows 365 licenses have been completely disabled for two weeks. This is severely impacting our business: clients can't email us, we can't send emails, and access to critical data on our virtual desktops is lost. We've contacted Microsoft multiple times with no resolution. This prolonged outage is causing significant operational paralysis and forcing data recreation. We urgently need assistance in understanding the cause and a swift resolution to restore our services. We have tried reactivating, and have attempted getting through a Microsoft partner, but nothing has helped. Any advice on escalating this critical issue would be greatly appreciated.
O365 Logo for dark mode?
Hi, as described in the docs article to customize your organisation theme. It should be possible to configure an "Alternate Logo" which is presumeably used for dark mode. Did anyone got this to work? I was able to configure the alternate logo but if an enduser toggles the darkmode on office.com the logo doesnt change. It keeps the default logo and never uses the alternate logo.
Calendar of a Distribution Group in new Outlook
We have a Distribution Group in O365, which contains all members of a team. When you add this Distribution Group to the calendar, you can see the calendar of each team member. This way the admin can just update the Distribution Group with new team members, and everyone has gets the updated list of calendars. In the current Outlook you need to disable "Turn on shared calendar improvements" for this to work as described here. But in the "new" Outlook I can't add the calendars via the Distribution Group, and the option from the "old" Outlook is gone. Does anyone have a solution for this?Facing with Outlook issues after switching to W11 24h2
Since switching from W10 23h2 to W11 24h2 several functions in Outlook (Classic) are not working. For example: Find Time (not loading) Share in Teams (clicking button but no action) --> however there is a hidden button "Share with Teams" wich is working.... Adaptive Cards are not displayed (Version 1) The new Report button is greyed out Calendar cant be shared (permissions cant be shown) What did i do to try to fix it? Kinda everything... Reinstall, tested with W11 23H2, cleared cache, deleted all the Outlook relevant files in appdata,new profile (outlook and windows), other computer, switched from monthly to current channel. ✌️
Microsoft Lists - how to move?
Is there a way to move a List, e.g. from my personal space to an Office365 Group? There does not seem to be a way to do this other than using workaround of export & import to Excel. However, if I click "Export to Excel" from Lists, all I get is a file called query.iqy. Does anybody else experience this issue?
Office 365 AutoSave to OneDrive - how to choose the folder location where a new document is stored?
In any Office 365 application, such as Word, Excel or PowerPoint, the titlebar shows an "AutoSave" button. Upon turning this function on, a dialog pops up where you choose which OneDrive to save the document to, and where you enter a name for the file. See screenshots below. However, this dialog does not allow choosing in which folder on the OneDrive you want to save the document. All files get saved automatically in the "OneDrive/Documents" default folder. Is there a way to change the behavior of Office apps, so that the user can select in which folder on the OneDrive the file will be stored in by AutoSave?
Office 365 hangs temporarily on RDP server for multiple users
Hi guys, I have a server where around 20 users connect and use Office 365 apps such as Outlook and Excel to work over RDP. Sometimes during the session, Excel freezes when switch from one cell to another one as well as Outlook. They stop responding for a bit and then it resumes. Checking the CPU and memory on the server there are no hardware limitations nor get saturated at any point but the problem persists for some users. How can I improve the office installation on the server to make sure the users don't have issues with these types of freezing situations that interrupt their work. They also complain when they type sometimes it takes a bit for the text to appear in Word for example. Thanks much in advance, TeoHow to create a shared company calendar for time off and holidays?
I'M LOST I have spent DAYS trying to figure out some way to provide a shared company calendar with Holidays, PTO Schedules, On-Call Schedules, etc. We just want one place to see what's going on this week, who's available, and do we have a day off this week. BASIC information. After spending more than 3 days on this, I feel more lost than I did when I started. I could create a SharePoint Calendar. This calendar doesn't sync with Outlook for Mac or Apple Calendars and, most importantly, reoccurring events don't show up on a SharePoint Events web part. I could manually create reoccurring events but I rather not. Regardless, the functionality is incredibly limited. I could create a new M365 user. This would let me see these calendar in Apple Calendars and give myself or another admin access to update events. But this calendar can't be integrated in SharePoint or Teams so it's basically invisible. I could create a Channel Calendar in Teams but that's certainly not appropriate. I could create a new Group with a Calendar. Although, we already have a org-Wide Team and it doesn't actually do anything - can't email [email protected] and it doesn't come with an Outlook calendar. I don't think I should have to add someone to a group for them to see a calendar I want public to the entire company. This might be the best compromise but that's besides the point. The POINT is, WHY in the world isn't this a built-in feature that's turned on the moment a company creates a M365 tenant? WHY do I need to spend days figuring out that all the archaic tutorials from 2017 don't even work in 2021? WHY can't MICROSOFT make calendars easy? I mean, I'd settle for difficult - it's better than impossible. And, not for nothing, I look like a complete idiot (I very well may be!) when my boss asks me to do something that should take 2 minutes and I have absolutely nothing to show 3 days later. Q: What is your business doing to let you know you have Memorial day off? How are you able to see if someone has the week off for vacation? Are you using a M365 product or something else?
