Hi, I'm in a quite desperate situation, I feel like the problem is stupid and quite simple but it's such a mess considering the old hardware and the fact that I'm not sure it's possible to format and reinstall Windows 4.0 from scratch). I've tried to backup an HDD from a very old PC (a '98 Dell with Windows NT 4.0). The main HDD is a simple Seagate IDE, so I've connected it to another PC, created an image with Macrium, copied the image to a new drive, and tested it. Well, the new drive didn't work (gave me an error screen), so I've plugged back the original drive, but the problem is that now the original drive also gives the the same error. Both drives appear to be working since they behave the same way, they reach the bootloader screen which gives me the option of booting NT 4.0 or NT 4.0 in VGA mode, but after it shows the processor and the RAM available it shows the this error message. What could be the cause? I'm lost, I did absolutely nothing that I'm aware of to the original drive.25Views0likes1Commentfamily safety
Merci! translation: Here is the template for your kind understanding: Hey everyone, I'm having an issue with Microsoft Family Safety. When I try to add my child to the family group, I get the following error message: "Since we couldn't connect you to the Microsoft family, at this time, your family may not be up to date on this device." I've already checked my internet connection, verified that no VPNs or proxies are interfering, and verified that all Microsoft services are up and running. Dear Microsoft Support Team, Following our previous conversation, I understand my issues require escalated technical support. I'm detailing my concerns below for your specialized assistance. Issue 1: Disabled Environment Variable Controls I'm running Windows 11 Home and cannot modify system environment variables through the standard GUI. The "Edit" button remains disabled despite being the sole administrator account on this PC. This has created a critical problem with my Java and Tomcat PATH configurations. Currently, my system is detecting an outdated Java version, and Tomcat executables cannot be located - both due to incorrect PATH settings that I'm unable to modify. Issue 2: Authentication Method Constraints I need to transition from my current PIN authentication to a more secure password system. However, the "Password" option in Sign-in settings only permits changes to my existing account password, which is not my intent. The Windows Hello PIN section only allows modifying my existing PIN rather than replacing it with a robust password. This limitation presents significant security concerns for my system. These issues are hampering my development work and system security. I would appreciate your assistance in resolving these technical constraints. Thank you for your expertise and support.38Views1like0CommentsComputer restarts when video editing ?

Several days ago I downloaded the most recent updates for windows 10. At the same time I installed a new GPU (5070ti). The next day I noticed RGB flickering of colors on my display. I redownloaded the drivers for GPU. It seemed to have worked. The next day I turned on my display and it looked bad. So I shut off my PC went to turn it on, and it wouldn’t boot. I looked at my motherboard, and the DRAM light was on. I moved the DRAM to alternate slots. And it worked. But then in UEFI BIOS, all of my disk had disappeared, including my BOOT drive. So I took out the 5070ti, put back in my RX580 and my BOOT drive reappeared along with all the disk. At this point I attempted to boot, but it would make it to the windows password screen and then (bsod) blue screen of death on me. After several attempts I never made it back to the password screen. I attempted to repair and wipe, it said it could not. I attempted to run through the menu of 9 options open command prompt, none of them worked. So I decided to buy Windows 11 and start with a fresh boot drive to wipe everything, and start fresh. I chose my disk, and then about 30% in got an error code blue screen, I tried a different disk, made it to 70% error code blue screen again! Tried the repair feature, went into command prompt that way which did work, and ran disk scan and scan the whole pc which it said it did repair, and I turned off and rebooted to which it still didn’t work. Which is where I’m at now. I tried calling Microsoft support and they hung up on me twice. Any help would be appreciated. I also tried rolling back updates, it won’t let me do that either. thank you for any help8Views0likes0Comments
