Changing border colors for Map Chart made from categories
Hello, I currently have an excel sheet that contains countries and their associated categories. Example: Countries: Categories United States Category 1 Russia Category 2 China Category 3 When I insert a Map from this data, the countries that I list get colored according to the category and receive a transparent border (hard to tell since the background is white but when copied into PowerPoint the borders appear transparent). When I change the border color for the series under 'Format' and 'Series' and 'Border', 'Solid Line', it changes the border color for all countries for which no data is provided, but leaves the transparent borders untouched. How can I change the border color of all my countries which have category data? I am able to manually change each border color individually, but I want a way to change all the borders at once and without using vba. Also, I am using Excel 365 for Mac—there seem to be some differences in application type. Thanks!
Conditional color formatting a radar chart
Hello, Is it possible to apply a conditional color formatting to the area produced in a radar chart? I am calculating the total area in the data columns and can easily conditionally color format this result (>0 green, >16 yellow, >31 red), but can this color be applied to the radar chart itself? Thank you.
Excel changes multiple series colors at once
I have a simple X-Y chart with five series of markers, no lines. When I change the color of the markers on Series 5, Series 1 also changes to the same color, and when I change Series 1 back to the color it was, Series 5 also changes. It's like they've been linked somehow. Has anyone else seen this issue?
Trouble with Map Graph
Hi everyone, I'm trying to create a map chart of Argentina in Excel, but I'm running into a few issues: "La Rioja" shows up way too far north. "San Juan" is missing completely (it should be near where "La Rioja" is supposed to be). The Argentine Antartica is being included as part of "Tierra del Fuego", but I don't want it to appear at all. Is there a way to fix this or properly format the data so the map renders correctly? Here's my data table and a screenshot of the graph: If I remove "La Rioja" and "Tierra del Fuego" from the data table, the rest of the map fits perfectly in the graph area. But of course, I want to include all the provinces in my data. I also tried pasting the data table in this post, but the forum gives me an error about invalid HTML tags (like <div>, <li>, etc.), so I couldn't include it.
Creating a "checkoff chart" from an Excel table
I volunteer in a local organization & one of my responsibilities is coordinating & reporting our annual continuing education requirements. I just ran a report on the server which gave me a long list of each student, their modules assigned, & the date completed for each one they've done so far. I added a column in Excel that assigns a single letter to each module name just for brevity & I have A-R modules & 68 people. What I want is to auto-create a Pivot Table with the letters as columns & the names as rows. However, I'd like it to insert a checkbox (or even a symbol for that matter) with it either checked off or not depending on whether there is a date in the completed column. For example: A B C D E Jones, T. ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ Moore, M. 💟 ⭐ ⭐ 💟 ⭐ Smith, R. 💟 ⭐ 💟 ⭐ 💟 (Discovered that the emojis I was looking for aren't available, so I used two random ones to demonstrate a checked box versus an unchecked box) Is this even possible & if so, how?Charting doubt_1
Dear Experts, I have an issue like below, so in the Worksheet "SssgSwitchEvaluation_Study_curr", I want to make a graph like below with the Variables, Time, CurrentState, slot and Time(ms) as below But problem is that at 504 like below we know that the current state is changed to sparse(from dense), but how to shown that in a Graph? when it's non-numeric(I must say I did that earlier and some times it worked, not sure what's changed now)? also the slot I tried as Secondary axis, but not sure what mistake I am doing, it shows a straight line..(slot can range from 0~19), Attaching the worksheet. :- Thanks in Advance, Br, Anupam
Conditional Formatting for multiple range
I wonder can we make conditional formatting in excel to hightlight certain values in multiple ranges in a couple of certain columns? so for example all 3 tables in a worksheet, all tables had different row lengths and i want to hightlight automatically 3 largest percentages values in range between "Percentage of Total" and "100,00%" which is the sum of percentages in each tables. Is there a way to do that?
