Let check on security setting and permission firstly:
- Check Security Settings: Ensure that your browser and Excel Online settings allow for opening files from the internet. Sometimes, security settings can block these files.
- Save the File Locally: Try downloading the file to your local device and then opening it in Excel Online. This can sometimes bypass the issue.
- Use Excel Desktop: If possible, use the desktop version of Excel to open and edit the file. This version might not have the same restrictions as the online version.
- Update Office: Ensure that your Office and browser are up to date. Sometimes, updates can fix these kinds of issues.
