Pin Copilot Chat - Admin Center
My dear friends,
I pinned the Copilot Chat to the navigation bar through "Admin Center > Copilot > Settings > Pin Copilot Chat > Mark checkbox Pin Copilot Chat to the navigation bar (recommended)"
This was performed about 72hr ago and I still can not see any copilot pinned to the Teams, Outlook etc.
As per my understanding, this configuration should pin Copilot to the left side of Teams, correct?
Our licenses are Microsoft 365 E3 + Defender.
Any tips in why this is not working?
Thanks in advance

If Copilot Chat isn’t showing after 72 hours, it’s likely because your users don’t have the Microsoft 365 Copilot add-on license — E3 + Defender isn’t enough. Also, check the Teams app setup policy to ensure it’s pinned there. If all looks good, try assigning users to Targeted Release for early feature access.

1. Confirm license
Copilot needs to be purchased separately (not included in E3 Basic Edition).
Go to the administration background: Microsoft 365 admin center > License > Users → Check whether the target user has been assigned a Copilot for Microsoft 365 license.
2. Check the scope of configuration
Go to Microsoft 365 admin center > Copilot > Settings → Make sure Fixed Copilot to guide clear cache is checked
Browser: Press Ctrl+Shift+Delete (Windows)
Application: within Teams/Outlook press Ctrl+F5 (Windows)
4. Update the application
Teams: Settings → About → Check for updates
Outlook: Update to the latest version via system app store or settings.- waylander232Copper Contributor
OP is referring to "Copilot Chat" which doesn't require a separate license and is included with M365 E3 (as per Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat eligibility | Microsoft Learn)
